Pre-debut Story As a Produce 101 Contestant
Sihyeon began her entertainment journey before debuting by joining Produce 101 in 2016 as a trainee of Star Empire Entertainment. Yet, Sihyeon was eliminated in Episode 8 and apparently, was ranked 84th. In the video above, you can see the performances of Sihyeon in Produce 101. She is talented, indeed! In fact, Sihyeon also has experience as a backup dancer of Jewelry, ZE:A, Nine Muses, and Imfact before debut. She was a backup dancer along with Yunji, Hyogyeong, and Yeori, the other fellow members. Sihyeon never gives up, and to this goal, she decided to audition for another survival reality show, MIX NINE, in October 2017. She passed the audition and got through to Episode 10, but was eliminated and finished in rank 29. She finally got to debut and reach her dream to be an idol with group ARIAZ in October 2019. Sihyeon was the fourth member that was announced in the teaser concept photo.

Sihyeon and ARIAZ still manage their work as a new girl group. After their debut, ARIAZ also confirmed that they will participate in the 2020 Idol Star Athletics Championship on MBC. The show has been awaited by so many fans because it is an opportunity to highlight the sports skills or other talents of the idols. This event will show idol teams in all 7 sporting categories. Apparently, there will be 51 idol teams which are 202 individuals that will compete in the Lunar New Year Special as ‘2020 ISAC’. This athletic championship is annually happening in South Korea and invites idols from various companies. The categories of athletic championship look like the usual international Olympic games such as archery, wrestling, free kick shootouts, baseball pitching, e-sports, and horseback riding which is also almost the same as the Chuseok Special 2019 ISAC. Besides ARIAZ, the other girl idol teams that are going to participate include (G)l-DLE, AOA, ITZY, GWSN, Gugudan, Nature, DIA, Rocket Punch, MAMAMOO, Momoland, Saturday, 3EYE, April, A Pink, Oh MyGirl, LOONA, Cosmic Girls, Cherry Bullet, Purplebeck, Pink Fantasy, and HashTag. On the official Instagram of ARIAZ @ariaz.official, Sihyeon shared a message that said, “It has been a long time since I have been in the middle of a long time, thank you for being with me for 300 days don’t get sick in the future!” She sent us love and encouraged the fans to stay healthy since the COVID 19 pandemic is still ongoing.
