In Gyo-jin and So Yi-hyun’s Married Life
In 2012, TVReport revealed that actress So Yi-hyun, famous for appearing in dramas such as Cheongdamdong Alice, Who are you, and Three Days, had recently started dating her longtime friend, actor In Gyo-jin, previously seen in dramas such as I Need Romance 2012 and Queen Seondeok. According to the report, the pair had known each for about 10 years, having first met when they worked under the same agency. The report also claims that they became friends very quickly because they had so many things in common. In an interesting twist, the couple actually appeared in two dramas together. They appeared on the SBS daily drama Aeja’s Older Sister Minja in 2008, and then again in 2012 on the JTBC drama Happy Ending. They were playing a couple on both occasions. The report also stated that the couple only saw each other occasionally, due to their busy schedules, but that they made sure to keep in contact with each other every day. According to close associates of the couple, In Kyo Jin is supposedly very caring and the couple is the envy of everyone around them. Not long after their dating news broke, they also announced that they were getting married. So Yi-hyun denied that the sudden announcement of the marriage was a result of the need for a shot-gun wedding. She explained that she was not pregnant and that although she hadn’t been dating In Gyo-jin in very long, they’ve known each other since she was wearing a school uniform. She told the MBC entertainment news show, Section TV, “He used to come pick me up in a car in front of the school. We went to the same cram school.” On the same show, In Gyo-jin added, “I confessed, ‘When we reach a legitimate age, and you and I come to believe in each other, marry me.” In Gyo-jin revealed that he officially proposed to So Yi Hyun at a meat restaurant, “She didn’t call me for three days, but after that, she sent a message saying, ‘Let’s meet.’ I think her faith in me had grown.” So Yi-hyun described her ideal proposal as one that was quiet; all she wanted was flowers and a letter. “But In Kyo Jin proposed to me at a meat restaurant with soju.”. Still, she gave his proposal 100 points out of a 100. The wedding took place at Raum, a wedding hall located in Yeoksam-dong, Southern Seoul, on October 4, 2014. At the press conference for their wedding, So Yi-hyun revealed her thoughts: “I’ve known him for 14 years, so he’s more like my brother now. I see him more as my family than my lover,” she said. After the ceremony, they flew to Bali, Indonesia, for their honeymoon. The couple also released their pre-wedding photos before the marriage.

So Yi Hyun and In Gyo Jin were married in October, 2014, and had their first child, daughter In Ha-eun, in December, 2015. They joined KBS 2TV’s The Return of Superman in April of the following year and reported the news of So Yi Hyun’s second pregnancy by the end of the same year. As confirmed by agency Key East Entertainment, So Yi Hyun gave birth to a baby girl on October 2nd, 2017. Earlier on, So Yi Hyun shared some stunning photos of her happy family during the last month of her pregnancy. The actress wrote: “Gyo Jin. Ha Eun. Haeng Un. Yi Hyun. With a thankful heart. Haeun’s Appearances in ‘Return of Superman’
In April, 2016, In Ha-eun and the family made their debut in KBS 2TV’s The Return of Superman. Ha-eun got so much love from the audience, particularly for her angelic smile and her adorable relationship with her father. In Gyo-jin became a fixed cast member along with actors Oh Ji-ho and Yang Dong-geun and their daughters.
In one of the episodes that aired in June, 2017, the father-daughter duo was taking a walk around the neighborhood. Later in the episode, In Gyo-jin was given the experience of pregnancy symptoms, in which he cried out in the company of his wife and daughter. Ha-eun, who acted nonchalant upon seeing her father’s cries, offered to calm him with her cute words.
On July 11th, 2017, it was confirmed that In Gyo-jin and his adorable daughter would be returning to the show. A source from The Return of Superman stated, “In Gyo Jin and Ha Eun will be recording their appearance tomorrow. Their broadcast date hasn’t been decided yet.
