2PM’s Wooyoung and Park Se-young’s Romantic Moments in We Got Married
First Meeting
At their first meeting, we can see Wooyoung, who arrived at the meeting place first, is full of anxiety. When Park Se-young arrived, he didn’t recognize her even though they had worked together for a commercial shoot. They also had met during music programs in which Park Se-young had worked as an MC before. After remembering this, Wooyoung quickly apologized to Park Se-young, saying that he has been very nervous all day. In contrast, Park Se-young remained calm and composed at their first meeting, quite different from her usual outgoing and carefree self. Wedding
In the episode of We Got Married that was aired on May 17th, 2014, Wooyoung and Park Se-young held their wedding ceremony in the company of their friends and co-workers. Even though it was just a pretend wedding, they couldn’t hide their nervousness while tying the knot in front of the many guests. At the ceremony, Wooyoung knelt on one knee and presented a necklace from his pocket to Park Se-young. Seeing this moment, the guests began to chant “Kiss her!” in which Wooyoung complied with it. He shyly asked Park Se-young to close her eyes, then he cupped her face and planted a kiss on her forehead. Later, while Park Se-young was interviewed, she confessed that she was so nervous when she had her eyes closed. Honeymoon
For their honeymoon, Wooyoung and Park Se-young flew to Singapore. There, they enjoyed a date by having fun on the rooftop pool of the Marina Bay Sands as well as receiving a couple’s spa treatment. While they were having their honeymoon, Wooyoung could not hide his disappointment because Park Se-young did not wear a bikini. In contrast, he gladly revealed his well-built upper torso for Park Se-young. In her interview, Park Se-young complimented Wooyoung saying, “Wooyoung didn’t say anything before taking off his shirt. He looked like he was in great shape.”
Release of the Song “Two Hands Intertwined”
While shooting their virtual marriage on We Got Married, Wooyoung and Park Se-young also created a song titled “Two Hands Intertwined.” Based on the episode of We Got Married that was aired on June 7th, 2014, Wooyoung had composed the music and lyrics for the song, while Park Se-young also contributed to the writing of the lyrics. The first verse of the song contains Wooyoung and Park Se-young’s expectant wishes, while the second verse is a conversation between the two about those wishes. This song, “Two Hands Intertwined,” was born out of Wooyoung and Park Se-young’s love for music.
Other Romantic Moments and Skinship
Besides the previous moments, we can also witness many romantic moments between Wooyoung and Park Se-young in the show. For example, Wooyoung showed his jealousy towards Park Se-young’s workout trainer, so he decided to become her trainer instead. At this moment, we can see a lot of skinship happening, such as during stretching exercises, where Wooyoung used his hands to guide Park Se-young. Because of this skinship, Park Se-young responded by saying, “I’m not used to your skinship being so natural.” On the other hand, Wooyoung commented on Park Se-young’s workout outfit and said that it was too revealing. He also wished that Park Se-young would only wear those clothes at home. Besides that, we can also see their romantic moments even in their simple gestures, such as feeding each other or walking together under the same umbrella. We can see how they enjoyed each other’s company and how great their chemistry as a couple was. We can also witness their sweet moments where they cuddled up in bed while they were watching a horror movie. We can also see the cute moments where Park Se-young tried to scare Wooyoung with a fake hand, but was unsuccessful in doing so.
Goodbye
In the final episode of their We Got Married, the couple couldn’t do anything but stare at their final mission card in sadness. They decided to make the most out of their final episode, and Wooyoung finally fulfilled his wish to go on a street date with Park Se-young while holding hands. As the sun began to set and their time together was almost over, Park Se-young started to cry and couldn’t look at Wooyoung. Wooyoung then kissed her cheek to stop her from crying. In the interview, Wooyoung revealed that it truly feels like he’s breaking up with his girlfriend. In the end, Wooyoung wrote a message for Park Se-young which reads, “I don’t have pride in front of the person who I love. That person is you without change.” Meanwhile, Park Se-young also wrote a message for Wooyoung which reads, “Wooyoung-ah, thanks for always being beside me. Marrying you was a good decision. Yeobo-ya, I love you.”
Interaction After Their Virtual Marriage is Over
On a radio broadcast of KBS’ Cool FM Jo Jung-chi and Jang Dong-min’s Two O’Clock that was aired on September 29th, 2014, Wooyoung revealed that he couldn’t keep in contact with Park Se-young after the show finished due to her busy schedule for filming a drama. Meanwhile, he also revealed that he had a mental breakdown at the end of filming because the end notice was so sudden. He also talked about moments while filming the show with Park Se-young in the radio broadcast. However, it seems that they managed to stay in touch after a while. Park Se-young mentioned about this while she shared her experience on the virtual marriage in an interview with bnt magazine in 2015. In the interview, she shared her experience working on variety shows and said that We Got Married was the hardest one. She said that We Got Married was 100% real, but also not real.
