Debut with AKB48

On February 20th, 2011, Takahashi Juri passed the audition for AKB48’s 12th generation. After the audition, Takahashi Juri was originally promoted to Team 4 in March 2012 but then she suddenly transferred to become a part of Team A in August 2012. During the event of group reshuffling in AKB48, in December 2017, Takahashi Juri was transferred to Team B and became the captain of the team.

Captain of Team B

It was a huge opportunity for Takahashi Juri to be the captain of Team B. During this era, Takahashi Juri made an appearance with her role at the Zero Project Produce 2018 Musical ‘Shin ☆ Yuuki no Princess drama musical on February 21st, 2018. A few months later, on May 18th, 2018, she made another appearance as a senshuuraku member for Team 4’s Yume wo Shinaseru Wake ni ikanai stage. During her activities as the captain of AKB48’s Team B, Takahashi Juri became the model of her first solo photobook, Aimaina Jibun, that was released on July 24th, 2018. The photoshoot for the magazine was her last activity with the J-Pop idol group AKB48, and it automatically ended her promotions in Japan just before she flew to South Korea to join the survival reality show Produce 48, that aired their 1st episode on June 12th, 2018, on Mnet.

Takahashi Juri made a decision to leave her country and pursue a career in the entertainment industry in South Korea by joining as a contestant of a survival show, Produce 101 Season 3, namely Produce 48. The concept was still as the previous series that would debut a girl group which consists of 12 final members with an official group named IZ*ONE. Takahashi Juri ranked in Class B after the initial evaluation during her 1st performance in front of the judges with her team members from AKB48, Kojima Mako and Muto Tomu. On May 10th, 2018, Produce 48 released their 1st original soundtrack titled You’re Mine (내꺼야). In this second evaluation, Takahashi Juri upgraded her rank to Class A after the performance with other contestants.

After her first performance in Episode 3, Takahashi Juri became the leader of Team 빼꼼빼꼼 (Bbae-Kkom-Bbae-Kkom) with Jo Yuri, Kim Sihyun, Kojima Mako, Yu Minyoung, and Kim Minseo. The team won with a total of 442 votes. Check out their performance below!

At the 2nd performance in Episode 6, Takahashi Juri teamed up with Kim Doa, Park Seoyoung, Miyawaki Sakura, Murakawa Bibian, and Cho Gahyeon to perform BLACKPINK’s song “Ddu-Du Ddu-Du” (뚜두뚜두). In this performance, Takahashi Juri ranked 2nd after Kim Doa who landed on the 1st place.

At the 3rd performance in Episode 10, Takahashi Juri teamed up with Heo Yoonjin, Choi Yena, Ahn Yujin, and Lee Gaeun to perform Full8loom’s song “I Am.” In this team, Takahashi Juri positioned as the rapper and her team ranked in the 6th position.

At the 4th performance in Episode 12, Takahashi Juri teamed up with Kwon Eunbi, Choi Yena, Miyawaki Sakura, Lee Gaeun, Shiroma Miru, Kang Hyewon, Kim Chaewon, Shitao Miu, and Han Chowon to perform Akimoto Yasushi’s song “You’re In Love, Aren’t You?” (반해버리잖아?). After this performance, Takahashi Juri was positioned as the 8th sub-vocalist. Takahashi Juri was eliminated in the final episode ranking 16th with a total of 164.285 votes. Although she didn’t make it to the final, Takahashi Juri announced that she would graduate from AKB48 and continue her career in South Korea.
