HISTORY (히스토리) is a South Korean boy group under FAVE Entertainment. The group consists of five members, debuted on April 26th, 2013, with the single “DREAMER.” On August 20th, 2013, they released their first mini-album Just Now. HISTORY’s Profile
HISTORY is a boy group that consists of five members: Song Kyung-il, Na Do-kyun, Kim Si-hyung, Kim Jae-ho, and Jang Jang Yi-jeong. Their fandom name is STORIA (meaning “history” in Italian). HISTORY is the first boy band created by Fave Entertainment and they debuted on April 26th, 2013, with the single “DREAMER.” The group name HISTORY means HIS STORY, the meaning aims to truly convey the music and performances that only they can present and win the hearts of music fans. The video shows the members’ preparation before going on stage. It was recorded on the debut day and it’s their debut stage on Music Bank. The members share their thoughts about their debut. One of the members also goes on Twitter to interact with fans.
HISTORY made a Q&A session called “The Story of HISTORY.” They answered the questions asked by fans and they answered in a funny way. In the comment section, fans wrote that they want LOEN (the agency) to make them a variety show. Fans also left some comments like this, “Haha this was so funny 😀 I like seeing them interact like this just naturally with each other, they definitely need their own reality tv show. And also, it’s amazing how eyebrows can make someone look so different! (I’m looking at you Sihyung) lol,” “To Loen: Will you be bringing back their show anytime soon? Or any show with History in it? Disbandment News
On May 12th, 2017, the agency announced the disbandment of the group. Fave Entertainment wrote on the official SNS, “History will officially close its four-year group activities on the 12th.” The agency said, “History’s group activities will end as of today, but the exclusive contracts of the five members will remain the same, and we will support the individual activities of the members in the future,” adding, “We sincerely appreciate the support of the fans who have sent us to the history for four years.” Following Song Kyung-il, who joined the military in December 2018, the other four members of HISTORY have been scheduled to join the military sequentially. Due to the long absence of the team, individual activities are essential. In the meantime, the group has been discussing the current situation comprehensively and the direction of HISTORY’s activities with the members for a long time. In the end, the members and the company ended their group activities after discussion and decided to carry out individual activities later.
