About the Album Flight Log: Turbulence

“Flight Log: Turbulence” is the second Korean studio album from the South Korean boy-band, Got7. The album was released on September 26, 2016, in the United States and September 27, 2016, in South Korea. “Turbulence” is the second of the group’s septet Flight Log album series. The second album of Flight Log series features the addictive song “Hard Carry” and twelve other songs. ‘Turbulence’ is Got7’s second full-length album since they debuted in 2014. The new album is quite different from the group’s previous album, being more aggressive and having more of an electronic style than their previous, which was primarily hip-pop songs. It also lives up to its title as the group’s most tumultuous album. GOT7’s lead single “Hard Carry,” is the second song from the ‘Turbulence’ album, after the release of the hype track “Skyway,” which is a fierce track. The music video for the song was viewed more than 2.5 million times in less than 24 hours after it premiered on YouTube.

Album Comeback Schedule

In 2016, Got7 announced that they would make a comeback with a new album. On September 16, 2016, at midnight KST, the boy-group surprised their fans by announcing their comeback date and their plans for teasers over the next couple of weeks. Their second full studio album, ‘Flight Log: Turbulence’ would be released on September 27, 2016, as well as a music video of the title track. On September 17, 2016, Got7 revealed the tracklist for the new album. Got7 revealed a preview of the album on September 18, 2016. On September 19, 2016, the group released a trailer for their upcoming album through their Naver V Live channel. The album appears to be connected to their previous comeback, ‘Flight Log: Departure.’

The trailer begins with the members of Got7 being chaotic, as their usual habits, on an airplane. But when the seatbelt warning turns on, Jin-young is the only member that is asked to sit down and the other members look like they do not notice what is going on, even when the plane starts to crash and the screen flashes red and black. The trailer then cuts to shots of the boys flying around, similar to their previous music video, before Jin-young wakes up after a terrible accident occurred. On September 20, and 21, 2016, their agency dropped the group’s image teasers in anticipation of Got7’s imminent comeback.

Got7 released a music video teaser of the album’s title track “Hard Carry” on September 23, 2026.

On September 24, 2016, the seven member boy-group revealed the album’s spoiler video on YouTube. The seven member would be counting down to their album release on September 26, 2016, with a live premiere on V Live apps.

On September 27, 2016, Got7 finally released “Flight Log: Turbulence.” The album consists of 13 songs as the tracklist, including the title track “Hard Carry.” The members of the boy-group not only recorded the songs, but also contributed to their composition and lyrics writing, with all seven members having made their contribution in the creation of at least one track.

Comeback Performance

On September 29, 2016, the popular boy-group Got7 made their comeback stage of their title track “Hard Carry” from the group’s second full album “Flight Log: Turbulence” on Mnet’s M!Countdown.

On October 12, 2016, The JYP boy-group, Got7, performed “Hard Carry” on Show Music Core.

On October 6, 2016, Got7 got their first win for “Hard Carry” on M! Countdown (Mnet).

On October 7, 2016, “Hard Carry” won its second win at Music Bank (KBS).

On October 9, 2016, “Hard Carry” got third win at Inkigayo (SBS).

On October 18, 2016, “Hard Carry” gained its fourth win at The Show (SBS MTV).

Interview

On November 8, 2016, Got7 joined the online fan meeting Got7’s Meet & Greet through MWave MEET & GREET, the one and only live K-pop Online Fan Meeting.

During the live show, the members of Got7 were talking and answering fans’ questions. They also talked the details of their brand new album. Jackson explained that the lead single of the album, “Hard Carry” is a fast tempo EDM track. The maknae, Yugyeom, also explained more about the song, saying that “Hard Carry” is a song with 808 Bass, and it is a song that conveys how they are hard carrying their fans. The song showcases Got7’s charm via powerful beats and strong choreography. In addition, the leader of Got7, JB, said that it is a song with strong beats.  Got7’s members also picked their favorite tracks from the “Flight Log: Turbulence” album. Jackson chose “Mayday” as his favorite song. The leader, JB, recommended the songs “Hey” and “Prove It” for their fans.

Latest News

On November 4, 2019, Got7 released the group’s brand new album “Call My Name”, and it is the tenth extended play from the boy band. The album features the lead single “You Calling My Name”.

Lately, Got7 has been busy with the group’s new world tour, called “KEEP SPINNING” 2019-2020 World Tour.  The group’s word tour began on June 15, 2019, and is still ongoing. Starting off with two shows in Seoul, the members then went to five different cities in North America before moving on to Mexico City, Santiago, and Sydney and Melbourne in Australia. They also have greeted their fans, Ahgase, in five different cities in Europe before heading back to other countries in Southeast Asia.
