After the success of its first season, the Dr. Romantic series or also known as Dr. Romantic Teacher Kim 2 (Hangul: 낭만 닥터 김 사부 2) finally continued its second season which was released in January-February 2020 on SBS. Similar to the previous season, this second season was very attractive to viewers and received high ratings. According to Nielsen Korea, this drama won a high rating of up to 22.1 percent. This drama is about two young doctors named Cha Eun-jae (played by Lee Sung-kyung) and Seo Woo-jin (played by Ahn Hyo-seop). Cha Eun-jae is a second-year pulmonary surgeon. She’s a smart and confident doctor. However, she has a trauma that makes her always vomit while surgery. This trauma caused her to get into trouble and was transferred to a regional hospital, the Doldam Hospital. Meanwhile, Seo Woo-jin is a second-year general surgeon. He’s a doctor who has exceptional surgical skills. He is also an orphan but is very determined to pursue his dream of becoming a doctor. Kim Sabu, played by Han Suk-kyu, is a senior general surgeon. He often uses unusual methods in operating on patients but the operation is always successful. Thanks to Kim Sabu, the two young doctors are finally able to help each other. Even Cha Eun-jae can overcome the trauma of operating on him. Previously, Choi Jin-ho had also been present as one of the actors in Dr. Romantic, which was released in 2016. This is the second time he has appeared as an actor in the drama by playing a character named Do Yoo-wan, a chairman of the Geosan University Foundation who also works as a doctor even though he mostly uses his political skills to destroy and disturb Doldam Hospital. Korean drama fans are again getting a new spectacle, titled Extraordinary You. The drama, starring Kim Hye-yoon and SF9’s Rowoon, is based on a webtoon that has the same title. Extraordinary You has a unique premise where the protagonist, Eun Dan-oh (played by Kim Hye-yoon) realizes one oddity in her life: that she is a manhwa (Korean comics) character. At first, Eun Dan-oh thought she was the main character, but she eventually had to swallow up disappointment. The reason is, she turns out to be only a small character whose role is limited. The main stars of this manhwa, are Yeo Joo-da (played by April’s Naeun) and Oh Nam-joo (played by Kim Young-dae). Eun Dan-oh didn’t want to be disappointed for a long time. Instead, she began to search for her own destiny, against the wishes of the manhwa writer. Eun Dan-oh is described as having had a crush on the son of her father’s business partner, Baek Kyung (played by Lee Jae-wook), for 10 years. Baek Kyung himself, is one of the top three students in his school called A3. However, Eun Dan-oh fell in love with a side character in the manhwa codenamed No.13 (played by SF9’s Rowoon), who was later given the name Ha Roo. Two other A3 members, such as Oh Nam-joo and Lee Do-hwa (played by Jung Gun-joo), are involved in a love triangle with Yeo Joo-da. This relationship also shows a mysterious character, Jin Mi-jae. Choi Jin-ho was present as one of the actors in MBC’s Extraordinary You which was broadcast in October–November 2019 as Baek Dae-sung, the father of Baek Kyung (played by Lee Jae-wook) who has a rude and arrogant character because he lives in a family that doesn’t care about him. On October 29th, 2019, actor Lee Jae-wook who plays Baek Kyung shared behind-the-scenes photos of shooting Extraordinary You with Choi Jin-ho who plays Baek Dae-sung, which were uploaded on his personal Instagram page.
