Kim Shihyun made his first appearance on survival show during ‘Under Nineteen’ (hangul: 언더나인틴) that was aired on November 3, 2018 until February 9, 2019. In this survival show, Kim Shihyun was only 19 years old and he is already showing his best skills during this show as a trainee who is ready to debut as an idol. Kim Shihyun’s career journey during ‘Under Nineteen’ is enough to steal the attention of many people because he also has a handsome and talented visual. On Episode 2, Kim Shihyun received the 19th place and he immediately got the 2nd place right on Episode 3 to Episode 4-Episode 6 with 208,842 votes. In Episode 7, Kim Shihyun received the 4th place and it showed a decrease in the votes he got until Episode 9 with a total of 235,387 votes. In Episode 10 that was aired on January 9, 2019, Kim Shihyun’s position again dropped one place to 5th place. In the next episode on Episode 12, he managed to move up to 4th place with 334,026 votes and again rose to 3th place on Episode 13 with a total of 60, 347 votes. In Episode 14, Kim Shihyun ended up in 4th place, but he was eliminated on the final episode.
